Every year I am asked the same question again and again: «I’m on a diet and trying to loose weight, how do I eat these winter holidays?». Of course the web offers you an amazing choice of tasty festive slimming recipes, however Christmas and the New Year  happen once a year, some of us have special traditions, some visiting families, some are invited to a fancy party. Should we bring our lunchbox with tasty salad then?
Christmas and the New Year are meant to be full of fun, happiness, presents, joy and festive mood. Those are the well-deserved holidays after a busy year when we can do literally everything we desire. Depending on your plans you choose what you are going to wear. Either you choose a posh sequinned evening dress you won’t wear any other day of the year, or your favourite pyjama, or a sensual seductive corset — it is completely up to you to decide. Actually for your holiday days you have only two general rules:
  1. You won’t put on everything you have in your wardrobe for the one evening doesn’t matter how much you love your clothes. You can shine and sparkle at the party with the full set of accessories, your best shoes and in a fancy dress with golden clutch. But you won’t put your pyjama on top of your dress.
  2. You will take your clothes off after the actual Christmas eve or the New Year day. And that’s what we usually do.. maybe you can keep your pyjamas on for longer, but not a floor-gazing dress, right?
The same principals work perfectly for festive food. Families meet together around a beautifully decorated table full of delicious home-made starters, mains and desserts. Spoil yourself with a delicious chocolate cake, bring your childhood memories back with a piece of your mother’s secret recipe turkey, finish your popcorn or crisps heartily. Eat whatever you want and whatever you like. But try not to overeat and remember to go back to your regular diet the day or two after the biggest holiday of the year. Keep in mind that you won’t stay in your sexy corset or evening dress for weeks and months after Christmas just because you can’t resist your desire to wear it everywhere. You won’t go back to the office in pyjama even if it is extremely comfy. Finally, I’m pretty much sure that you won’t where you Christmas jamper for the whole month of January either. Why would you keep eating cakes and overeat in general till February? Enjoy your Christmas and New Year time when everything is allowed and everything is possible but don’t forget to take off your fridge festive outfit after.
